In times, people are faced with many tough decisions. Some are faced with intricate feelings of anguish the can never come into fruition due to the suppression of their surroundings. Thus it has become apparent that many never reach their full potential due to their environment; due to violence and the rhetoric of vile politicians and corrupt governments. But it has come time for change to occur. Progress will not subside. It is now time for crusaders of Peace to become the majority. Imagine a world with out drive by shootings, terrorism, depleted social security, hostile governments, a ravaged environment, a disgusting economy, and hungry children. This is a world that can never be reached because of the discretions of our fathers. People must transcend their own beings to fully grasp the world. People must be able to delve into the life of a poverty stricken child who's very next day is not taken for granted, since their is not enough food to eat. People must see it through the eyes of a daughter from Sierra Leone, who had her hand cut off from a machete since her father wanted to keep .5 percent of a diamond. A diamond that could be in your mother’s ear rights now. See it through the eyes of kid in Brooklyn who's better than Jordan, but can never find out because he’s killed by drug dealers. As a citizen of this earth we must learn that there is a cycle to life. Everything comes from the dirt and will soon return. Peace is not a tangible object; rather it is the essence of life. Many will be unable to attain this ideology. I will not blame this on you; rather I will blame it on the ignorant education system that has provided the institution of learning for you. This institution is all based on structure. Why do you think that school always had bells? So they can strip you of your being and create a new you. Who has to eat lunch at 11:00 as oppose to when you’re hungry. That’s why I will not blame you. But I just wish for everyone to see the potential in fulfilling a movement towards peace, especially in dire times like now. I chose this path because of the things that I have seen and done in my own life. Every one is capable of redemption, but it is the ones who are strong enough to circumvent their own ambitions, who will become successful in change. Imagine how many Maya Angelus, Shaquille O’Neils, Albert Einsteins, Notorious BIGs and Denzel Washingtons, there truly are, yet we may never distinguish them. This is a misfortune to us because we will never be able to see their contributions. I will soon be creating an essay on why change and peace must occur especially for our generation. It is our generation that must carry the largest burden since the conception of our modern civilization. I will provide for your factual evidence of why everyone must play their role in providing peace and change otherwise it will surely be the end of us. More to come.... Taz T
